Last month, the European Sustainable Wines campaign has come back to Xi’an to present its Educational Live Course.
On February 24th, a group of Xianese wine professionals have had the opportunity to know more about European Sustainable Wines, in particular about Abruzzo region, Abruzzo Wine Consortium’s history, its grape varieties, its vineyards and its representative wines: Montepulciano, Cerasuolo, Trebbiano and Pecorino.
A final greeting to our Chinese guest was made by Mr. Davide Acerra, the director of the Abruzzo Wine Consortium, who joined the Live Course and briefly introduced the Consortium itself and the characteristics of the Abruzzo region.
Our Chinese guests have greatly appreciated the Educational Course and they showed such a great interest in these outstanding wines produced in Europe.
About the European Sustainable Wines Campaign
This project was born from the joint work of the Italian consortia Consorzio Tutela Vini d’Abruzzo and Consorzio Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato, together with the Regulatory Board of the La Mancha Designation of Origin in Spain. It will last 3 years and will focus on the markets of China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Vietnam.
The European Sustainable Wines campaign is financed by the Multi-Programme CHAFEA (Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency) and is under Regulation (EU) No 1144/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 October 2014 on information provision and promotional measures for agricultural products on the internal market and in third countries
