On July 30th, the Abruzzo Wines Consortium Virtual Tasting Event was held in Chongqing.
A group of Chinese professionals had the opportunity to meet some wineries of the Abruzzo Wines Consortium and to taste their wines, in particular, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo type.
The tasting was held by Mrs. Feiling Kang in Yuzhong District, Chongqing.
Before the start of the event, Mr. Davide Acerra, director of the Abruzzo Wines Consortium, participated in the Virtual Wine Tasting and warmly thanked and welcomed our Chinese guests. He then briefly introduced the Consortium and the beauty of the Abruzzo region and the European Sustainable Wines campaign.
The participating wineries were: Azienda Agricola Chiusa Grande, Azienda Tilli, Azienda Vinicola Talamonti, Fattoria La Valentina, Inverso Vini and Masciarelli Tenute Agricole.
Chinese guests have greatly appreciated the wines presented. They all said that the quality of the wines was very good. During the event there was a happy atmosphere, and our Chinese guests had a good interaction with the wineries making questions about the vinification process and wine characteristics.
About the European Sustainable Wines Campaign
This project was born from the joint work of the Italian consortia Consorzio Tutela Vini d’Abruzzo and Consorzio Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato, together with the Regulatory Board of the La Mancha Designation of Origin in Spain. It will last 3 years and will focus on the markets of China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Vietnam.
The European Sustainable Wines campaign is financed by the Multi-Programme fromEuropean Research Executive Agency (REA) and is under Regulation (EU) No 1144/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 October 2014 on information provision and promotional measures for agricultural products on the internal market and in third countries
